The Congress will be held in Vilnius from 7 to 12 June, beginning with the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ and concluding with the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.This timing emphasises the special importance of the Sacred Heart – the fountain of mercy. Responding to the invitation of Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit nos to turn towards the Heart of Jesus, the event will encourage prayer for mercy for a world that has grown numb to suffering and become caught in the tragedy of war. On the final day of the Congress, Holy Mass for peace and fraternity will be celebrated, inviting the participation of representatives of different Christian denominations serving in Vilnius.
